OKIESAWDUST is located in Edmond, Oklahoma. I am just a one man shop (plus wife, Cheryl) working in a 600 sq. ft. shop building. We started selling on Etsy in 2015 with keepsake and jewelry boxes being our main items. Since that time we have added an extensive selection of hand-turned items—pens and bottle stoppers. We will also have some other items as we get ideas. I love making things that have lasting value, that when somebody receives one as a gift, they will forever remember who gifted it to them and cherish it forever. Our keepsake and jewelry boxes are built with that in mind and are heirloom quality. I want every customer to be forever happy that they chose Okiesawdust. That’s what drives me. Each box is signed and dated on the bottom.
Cheryl’s participation has been in the pen department. She makes our acrylic blanks and all of the poly-clay pens. She has become quite an artist with stunning poly-clay designs. She absolutely loves designing poly-clay, which is labor of love. The process is slow and I would not have the patience or talent to do what she does with them. She has also had a love for antique rings, having had a collection passed on to her from her grandmother. This collection has grown over the years and is now being shared with others.
